Job Description:

Position Description: 

Implements and supports Application Program Interfaces (APIs), Key Management and Encryption platform products, and solutions. Deploys and maintains APIs and automation/scripting using Java, Python, Bash, and PowerShell. Designs Cloud-based applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS), Knowledge Management Systems (KMS), and Azure Key Vault. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.  

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.  

• Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.  

• Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.  

• Implements and supports critical key management and encryption platform products.  

• Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.  

• Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.  

• Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.  

• Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.  

• Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.  

• Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.  

• Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives. 

Education and Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing and designing scalable multi-tier applications in a financial service environment.  

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing and designing scalable multi-tier applications in a financial services environment. 

Skills and Knowledge: 

Candidate must also possess: 

• Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing, developing, and supporting highly scalable, secure financial services and professional brokerage Web applications within an investment platform, using Json Web Token (JWT) Tokenized Security, APIGEE, and OAUTH processing; and conducting order entry, transaction tracking, order, position, transfer, cash, margin approval management, multi-account data aggregation, and market data research according to Agile methodologies.   

• DE developing and generating performance reports and mitigating technical and security improvements for Microservices architecture to develop highly scalable and optimized applications, using JMeter, LoadRunner, and BURP Suite; and performing monitoring and automation testing, using Datadog, Selenium, Karate framework, and Gherkin programming language.
