Sr. Financial Analyst, Cost Accounting

This position is an important member of the Enterprise Finance Global Cost Accounting Team. Specifically, the role supports our Stores & Facilities Cost Team by providing high level analysis and engagement by serving as a strategic advisor to our stakeholders by utilizing in-dept knowledge of business unit processes. In this role you will collaborate within our global costing team as well as work with individual business unit finance teams, information technology, sales, marketing and purchasing groups.
Because this role involves access to confidential financial information, the Company has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and to provide similar protections for its clients and potential investments.
Key Position Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Collaborate across diverse functional teams to drive strategic decision-making.
- Review, enhance and maintain costing rules by region.
- Support key strategic projects for the Global Costing Team.
- Direct dialogue with Group buyers and FG costing team in creating outside buy store and transfer cost.
- Perform RM cost analysis as requested by business unit finance.
- Perform monthly reviews of purchased and earned overbill.
- Ensure proper credit is obtained for internal purchases.
- Ensure proper booking of earned overbill.
- Assist the Manager of Global Costing with the analysis and review of the annual overbill pickup requirement.
- Responsible for the accurate loading, validation and updating of store and transfer cost.
- Review and ensure monthly FG inventory reval is booked properly.
- Create, analyze, and distribute facility PPV and FX reporting - Recommend cost adjustments when needed.
- Complete month-end close responsibilities.
Other General Responsibilities:
- Identify synergies, standardization, and automation opportunities to align and enhance our global costing footprint.
- Support other tasks and responsibilities supporting commercial costing functions, as assigned.
- Provide general cost guidance/explanations to the business unit finance team.
- Assist with audit requests, as assigned.
- Role may support the transitions onto the Oracle Cloud platform or have other ad-hoc responsibilities as new facility ERPs are introduced.
- Support team by providing guidance and training for more junior team members in the execution of their own responsibilities.
Education:
Required
- Bachelor's Degree with a major in Accounting, Finance, or a similar Business degree.
Experience:
Required:
- 4-+years of accounting or finance experience.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills
- Experience with Microstrategy, Stores POS, Oracle R12 or Oracle Cloud platform.
- Proficient with Onestream and COA.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel.
