Job Summary:

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the execution of major components of quantitative research projects in health policy, public health, or related disciplines, independently. Collects, compiles, validates, interprets, and analyzes data and trends using standard statistical practices and techniques.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Uses quantitative research methods skills to lead small to medium research projects. Contributes to the design, coordination and conduct of research projects.
• Uses advanced statistical and data programming skills to manage and analyze data (e.g., SAS, Stata,R). Responsible for designing large and/or complex datasets.
• Coordinates development of datasets, data cleaning, data validation, and data reporting. Summarizes and interprets complex analyses.
• Completes, submits, and tracks IRB applications, amendments, and other regulatory and data security documents.
• Drafts presentations and written documents and present information to a wide variety of audiences.
• Serves as resource to others and provides guidance to junior team members. Provides input and/or conducts performance conversations and evaluations.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
• Presentation Skills (Intermediate): The ability to prepare effective presentations in content and function, able to speak competently to the level of the audience.
• Peer Leadership (Novice): The ability to show leadership and influence people of equal rank in an effort to accomplish team goals.
• Data Procurement (Advanced): Seeking, collecting, transforming, and ensuring quality of data.
• Health Policy Data Analysis (Advanced): Identifies, validates, extracts, and formats data for statistical analysis. Able to create, modify, and run queries and produce reports. Familiar with data modeling and understands the relationships between data items.
• Data Management (Advanced): Interpreting, analyzing and organizing reports and metrics.
