Senior Director of Enterprise Data Strategy

This is a senior role in the Global Data Office will partner with Equifax’s global business units to develop, maintain, and drive execution of the Equifax data strategy, aligning it with enterprise business strategies and our technology architecture.

To adhere to our corporate location policies, this resource will be required to be local to the surrounding Atlanta areas (or willing to relocate for this position) and adhere to our Return To Office (RTO) / weekly onsite requirements. This is an Atlanta based (Alpharetta or Midtown) based position.

What you’ll do

• The Senior Director of Enterprise Data Strategy role will report to the Head of Enterprise Data Strategy and partner with global teams through our center of excellence structure.  

• Develop and maintain understanding of the data needs inherent in the business strategies of our global businesses: what data we have, what data we need, how we need to manage our data to maximize its value and reliability over time, and how we can (and cannot) use it to generate value and competitive advantage

• Work with global business units to develop a cohesive enterprise data strategy from the federated strategies of our global businesses, coupled with enterprise-level objectives such as leveraging our cloud native data fabric, expanding our differentiated data assets, and accelerating incorporation of AI/ML into our products

• Help business units develop long-term strategic plays for data, particularly opportunities for re-use across business units and domains

• Engage in the evaluation and integration of data from enterprise M&A we pursue to strengthen our company and drive future growth 

• Drive ongoing planning and execution of the data strategy, including valuation of our data

• Evangelize the enterprise data strategy and embed it in our culture – educating and helping all team members and stakeholders see how our data matters, how our businesses benefit from it, and how it helps consumers and businesses be their financial best

​What experience you need

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline required; Master's degree preferred

• 10+ years of direct business experience in strategic planning, product management and/or business strategy, preferably in financial services or other data / digital business model

• 5+ years experience leading development/improvement and implementation of business strategy, operating models, and business capabilities (people, process, and IT) for data and analytics in large organizations

• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams across levels and globally (will possess excellent presentation skills (both verbal and written)

• Experience with Agile, Lean, design thinking, and other methods of leading change and driving execution

• Experience with a management consulting firm

• ​​Experience with SQL and BI tools (Looker, Tableau, BigQuery, etc.), data management and/or cloud data management, product and work management tools (Aha!, Jira, ServiceNow), and data governance tools (Collibra, Informatica, etc.)

• Cloud certification and strong experience with cloud and on prem technologies, structured and unstructured data, streaming and reposed data
