About the role
We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Affiliate Marketing to build, launch, and scale affiliate marketing from the ground up across all Ruby Labs products.
You will be responsible for creating affiliate programmes for multiple high-traffic consumer products, defining commission structures, selecting and managing affiliate platforms, recruiting and enabling partners, and ensuring robust tracking, attribution, and fraud prevention.
You will report directly to the Director of Marketing and own the affiliate marketing end-to-end. Your mission is to turn affiliate marketing into a profitable, scalable, and well-governed growth channel across Ruby Labs’ subscription products.
Key Responsibilities
Affiliate Program Strategy & Ownership
Build and own the global affiliate marketing strategy across all Ruby Labs products.
Launch affiliate programs from scratch for multiple brands.
Define conversion events, attribution windows, approval logic, and payout structures per product.
Set clear performance targets around CPA, LTV, refund rates, and incremental growth.
Establish affiliate marketing as a core, repeatable revenue channel.
Platform & Tracking Setup
Evaluate, select, and manage affiliate platforms, networks, and tracking tools.
Own end-to-end affiliate tracking, attribution, and postback logic.
Ensure accurate conversion tracking, commission approval flows, and refund handling.
Proactively QA tracking integrity and resolve attribution issues.
Work with internal technical teams where needed to ensure reliable tracking infrastructure.
Partner Acquisition & Management
Recruit, onboard, and manage high-quality affiliate partners.
Develop partner segmentation, tiering, and incentive strategies.
Build long-term relationships with top-performing affiliates.
Manage partner communication, onboarding, enablement, and performance optimisation.
Commission & Offer Strategy
Design CPA, revenue-share, hybrid, and tiered commission models.
Create promotional calendars, limited-time offers, and performance-based incentives.
Continuously optimise commission structures to balance growth and profitability.
Fraud Prevention & Compliance
Define and enforce affiliate program rules, policies, and compliance standards.
Monitor traffic quality, refund rates, and chargebacks.
Detect and prevent fraud, self-referrals, brand bidding abuse, and low-quality traffic.
Partner with Finance and Legal when needed to manage risk and governance.
Reporting & Performance Analysis
Build reporting frameworks to track affiliate performance by product, partner, and cohort.
Analyse conversion quality, LTV, churn, and incremental impact.
Provide regular performance updates and insights to the Director of Marketing.
Identify scaling opportunities and risks early.
Process & Team Building
Create SOPs, playbooks, and documentation for affiliate operations.
Establish a scalable operating model for affiliate marketing.
Hire and manage affiliate team members as the channel grows.
Qualifications
Experience
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in Affiliate Marketing.
Proven experience building affiliate programs from scratch.
Experience with SaaS and/or DTC subscription products.
Demonstrated ability to scale affiliate revenue profitably.
Technical & Platform Expertise
Strong understanding of affiliate tracking, attribution models, and postback logic.
