The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) Fabrication Assembly Set Up and Test (FAST) team is seeking an Associate Electrical Manufacturing Planner to join our team in Tukwila, WA. 

 

This position will support fabrication planning and installation by providing design review, manufacturing plan authorship, fabrication sourcing (inside and outside of Boeing), interface with procurement (including tracking), and support in the lab during the build/installation. These efforts represent a wide variety of research and production programs primary in support of Boeing Commercial airplanes (BCA) and Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) programs.

 

As an Electrical Manufacturing Planner, you will review designs for producibility, create procurement plans, create manufacturing plans, and solve technical issues. The selected candidate will work with a cross-functional team including engineering, quality, product support, supplier management, and program management.

 

Position Responsibilities Include:

• Develop, implement and maintain various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration for electrical and fiber optic wire bundles

• Assist with development and integration of suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements

• Assists with producibility assessments for part or product designs

• Assist in reviewing supplier data to ensure manufacturing related requirements are met

• Investigate and resolve manufacturing related issues of limited scope

• Assist with producibility assessments for part or product designs

• Assist in providing input to design, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules

• Develop work statements and sequencing events to support delivery commitments

• Assist in the review, maintenance and monitoring of internal documents

• Prioritize and Release work orders and provide limited dwg packages to shop

• Communicate with SCMAs, the expeditor, and the shop personnel for electrical work order releases and part changes

• Create and maintain procurement plans

• Works under general supervision

 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Associate’s degree or higher, a Technical certificate or degree, or 1 or more years of equivalent technical experience

• 3+ years of experience working in a production and/or manufacturing environment

• 1+ years of experience managing projects

• 1+ years of experience working in design engineering, industrial engineering or manufacturing role

• Experience with drawing, reading and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 3+ years of experience working in a lab test, flight test, or similar test environment

• Wire harness design or planning experience

• Fiber optics experience

• Experience in support of commercial and military customers.

• Experience in Project management

• Boeing BCA/BDS/BT&E Manufacturing Engineering experience in Lab Test

• Experience in ME and processes across multiple engineering disciplines

• Experience with PDM, CAPP, CMES, MESci, EPARTs, GOLDesp
