In the new and exciting world of the decentralized internet, otherwise known as Web3, it is an individual’s fundamental right to own and control their digital identity. To ensure that the individual is paramount in Web3, we are developing a suite of applications to enable everyone to safely engage, take part, and transact in the emerging, decentralized world of the internet. Our platform centers on Web3 Identity and leverages that identity to provide individuals with secure digital asset storage and recovery, access to decentralized finance, the ability to prove ownership of their creations, and gateways to digital interactions and experiences – all to empower and benefit every Web3 user.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Reporting to the COO, the Senior Vice President, Product Engineering (SVPPE) will lead the engineering, product, and architecture teams. Your initial focus will be to align efforts around our public product release, while also crafting a long-term roadmap to drive innovation and quality in the release of our products. Other responsibilities include:

• Working in partnership with the executive team to foster a culture of pushing boundaries, transparency, accountability, and rallying around successes.
• Developing and operationalizing a forward-thinking product and technology strategy that promotes our vision, ethos and long-term objectives.
• Overseeing and monitoring product and engineering teams’ execution, alignment and communication with other departments, and tracking progress toward the launch milestones.
• Creating department structure and processes based on best practices and industry standards.
• Defining and coordinating product design, maintenance, and improvements functions to ensure the product resonates with user needs and maximizes user adoption.
• Identifying product feature gaps in the product framework and discovering innovative solutions to fill such gaps.
• Ensuring that all software solutions are developed efficiently and securely.
• Establishing and monitoring metrics and quality measures throughout the product life cycle.
• Overseeing the evaluation, development, and deployment of all products.
• Assessing risks and dependencies across all the product and engineering functions, including identifying deviations from company vision or launch strategy, anticipating bottlenecks, exploring contingencies, and providing escalation to the CEO and COO throughout the product launch cycle.
• Conducting reviews of the Web3 landscape and recommending solutions that improve long-term competitiveness of our solutions, from web portals to restful APIs, from SDKs to packaged applications, and their secure, scaled interoperability with client and partner solutions.
• Staying current with new industry trends and technologies in order to provide input as to where the Company’s products fit within the global Web3 software ecosystem.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

As the SVPPE, you have a roll-up your sleeves and humble mindset such that you are always ready to pitch in at every level of the organization. You are passionate about Web3 and recognize the unique ability blockchain technology has to provide new opportunities to all individuals.

You have an entrepreneurial spirit, are a “big picture” thinker and have strong initiative, communication, and management skills. You are able to support multiple projects simultaneously in various stages of development and have the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. You have a strong knowledge of technical trends and the ability to develop a strategy around such trends. As a senior leader, you are able to work well with other senior leaders and supervise other members of the management team. You are able to lead and grow teams that efficiently produce quality products for release to market.

YOUR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

This position requires 10+ years’ experience in high-growth or start-up organizations, with 5+ years in a leadership role in product and engineering and 7+ years of software industry experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical certifications in relevant technologies. Previous experience managing teams building both web and mobile apps in B2B and B2C areas. Experience working in regulated industries is a strong plus.
