Position Overview & The Why

As a GP Veterinarian at Barkfield Animal Hospital, you will:

• Provide comprehensive preventive, diagnostic, medical, dental, and surgical care to canine and feline patients
• Develop individualized treatment plans and communicate clearly with clients
• Perform routine soft-tissue surgeries and dentistry (advanced skills encouraged but not required)
• Collaborate closely with a skilled technical and support team
• Practice medicine with clinical autonomy while maintaining high standards of care
• Build long-term client relationships in a trusted, local community hospital
•  Option to provide in-home (house call) veterinary services for clients who prefer at-home care

Qualifications & A Little About Barkfield And The Area:

• DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
• Active Georgia veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Passion for small animal medicine and client education
• New graduates welcome - mentorship available
