About the role

The role:

  • Providing direct support to the Deputy Secretary and the PPPR, including high level, executive clerical, human resources, operational, financial resources and secretarial support.
  • Coordinating the preparation of complex and confidential documentation, undertaking research for Ministerial briefs and background notes regarding matters relating to PPPR.
  • Development and maintenance of systems and protocols to ensure the efficient flow of information within, to and from PPPR and the Office of the Secretary.
  • Oversee and supervise the work of the other administrative support staff to ensure high level administrative and business support services are provided and maintained. 
  • Providing high level support and assistance in the day-to-day coordination of the physical, human and financial resources within the Office of the Deputy Secretary.

Details of Appointment

Permanent full time day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or fixed term full time, part time and casual vacancies.

Salary: $79,529  - $91,517 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Eligibility:

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

  3. serious drug offences
  4. crimes involving dishonesty
  1. Identification check
  2. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
