Compensation We Offer
- The initial compensation for this position ranges from $135,000- $175,000 per year/ per hour.
- Salary is dependent on commensurate experience above the minimum qualifications for the role and internal equity considerations.

Pacific Clinics serves children, transitional age youth, families, adults, and older adults. We offer a full range of mental and behavioral health services, foster care and social services, housing, continuing adult education and early childhood education programs to Medi-Cal eligible individuals and families throughout Alameda, Contra Costa, Fresno, Kings, Los Angeles, Madera, Orange, Placer, Riverside, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Solano, Stanislaus, Stockton, Tulare and Ventura Counties.
JOB SUMMARY
Works within the vision, mission, and philosophy of the agency. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer (CDO), the Major Gifts Officer (MGO) works directly with the CDO to sustain and grow the fundraising program. The MGO will foster relationships and solicit influential/philanthropic individuals, creating enduring partnerships with Pacific Clinics
(PC). PC is embarking on a comprehensive capital campaign at PC’s Hollygrove site. The MGO will play a key role in this campaign. This is a hybrid position with a flexible schedule but requiring in-person meetings with donors as well as zoom meetings, phone calls, emails, texts, etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Strategy Development
- Manage a portfolio of up to 150 major gift prospects. Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward high-capacity major donors, ensuring they feel deeply connected to our mission.
- In conjunction with the Chief Development Officer supports the implementation of the Pacific Clinics comprehensive Development Plan and Comprehensive Capital Campaign.
- Assists with the planning, leadership, and direction of the agency's overall development efforts to achieve major gift fundraising and capital campaign goals in keeping with the organization's vision, mission, values, and plans.
- Contributes to the institutional giving portfolio and strategy, including collaborating and supporting overall strategy.
Donor Identification, Cultivation, and Acquisition
- Represents the agency, its Board and executive management to donors and prospects.
- Supports the success of comprehensive individual donor efforts (mail, email and in person) by preparing a master prospect list, creating specialized strategies, coordinating implementation efforts, managing donor portfolios, meeting deadlines, and tracking results in PC’s donor management system.
- Supports the management of the donor acknowledgement and recognition programs.
- Oversees the major donor cultivation and solicitation by preparing detailed prospect profiles, cultivating relationships, and building cohesive strategies in collaboration with the CDO, Board members, volunteers, capital campaign counsel.
- Understands the needs of the upcoming Capital Campaign, and learns the programs offered by our various sites that might be of interest to donors.
- Solicits contributions on behalf of the organization, individually and in cooperation with and the support of Executive Management.
- Assists in the design and implementation of cultivation, acknowledgment, and recognition programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute prospect research, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to increase revenues in support of Pacific Clinics and its mission.
