Subject to Grant Funding?: Yes Essential Job Functions: 1. Conducts thorough evaluations of swallowing function using clinical exams and instrumental assessments.2. Diagnoses the nature and severity of swallowing impairments and dysarthria in patients using standardized and perceptual assessments.
3. Designs and implements individualized treatment plans for patients with dysphagia and dysarthria.
4. Regularly monitors patient progress and adjusts treatment plans based on clinical outcomes.
5. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, dietitians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
6. Educates patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals on strategies for managing dysphagia and dysarthria.
7. Maintains accurate clinical records and prepares detailed reports summarizing diagnoses, treatment outcomes, and recommendations.
8. Ensures compliance with healthcare regulations, ethical standards, and patient confidentiality guidelines.
9. Incorporates current research and evidence-based practices into the treatment of swallowing and motor speech disorders.
10. Participates in continuing education and supervision sessions to expand clinical expertise and receive feedback from mentors.
11. Completes other projects as required.
12. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

1. Proficient knowledge of disorders such as Dysphagia and Dysarthria.
2. Knowledge in the theoretical and practical paradigms of field of expertise.
3. General knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups.
4. English Language - Thorough knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
