<p><strong>A DAY IN THE LIFE:</strong></p>
<p>A Sr. Clinical Manager with Tandem Diabetes Care is directly responsible for the promotion and sale of Tandem Diabetes products and clinical services within an assigned territory in partnership with the distributor responsible for commercial promotion. The Senior Clinical Account Manager leads a team of focused Clinical Account Managers that are expected to work together with distributor to plan and ensure achievement of promotional goals through clinical acceptance of Tandem products’ insulin pump therapy. This individual identifies potential customers, establishes and develops clinical relationships to facilitate the usage of Tandem Diabetes' products and clinical services. </p>
<p>In addition, Sr. Clinical Managers use clinical expertise to provide support and continuing education in direct contact to patients, physicians and their staff on the technical use of insulin pump therapy and special considerations related to pump therapy in the marketplace. They also promote Tandem Diabetes products and services by providing additional education on topics such as diabetes self-management skills, emergency management and community resources as determined by client needs.</p>
<p>Sr. Clinical Managers are also responsible for:</p>
<ul>
<li>Leading a focused team of Clinical account managers as ‘first among equals’ while covering its own assigned territory to provide clinical information on Tandem insulin pumps.</li>
<li>Developing successful strategies to address clinical concerns in the territory to ensure the adaptation of Tandem Diabetes products/services and to ensure the retention of existing relationships.</li>
<li>Efficiently using available tools and resources to identify relevant decision makers and gather the information required to determine if prospecting criteria have been satisfied.</li>
<li>Serving as a clinical subject matter expert supporting distributors as a resource on product launches, tender support, conferences, HCPs, and KOL meetings.</li>
<li>Developing successful strategies in collaboration with distributor partners to address clinical concerns in the region to ensure the adoption of Tandem Diabetes Care products/services, including interactions with HCPs as appropriate to support their understanding of Tandem products, labeling and pertinent clinical outcomes for authorized uses.</li>
<li>Assisting distributors in understanding Tandem Diabetes Care unique value proposition and technical differentiation from competitors.</li>
<li>Assuring customers are offered appropriate and consistent training on the use of Tandem Diabetes Care products within assigned region. This includes observing training by distribution partners and ensuring appropriate documentation is recorded.</li>
<li>Establishing and maintaining excellent professional relationships with distributor partners, health care professionals, and economic decision makers and identifying needs for additional educational and training materials for distributor partners.</li>
<li>Effectively promoting Tandem’s unique market position, approach and value to the prospect (e.g., ability to integrate/coordinate with providers, impact on claims or other outcomes, clinical and technical differentiation from competitors).</li>
<li>Providing information in a professional manner to various health care professionals (MDs, DOs, NPs, RNs, CDEs, RPhs, etc.) in order to enable them to recommend/prescribe Tandem products/services when indicated in the course of appropriate therapy and creating value for the health care professionals by differentiating Tandem Diabetes Care products and clinical services.</li>
