Job Description:

  • Adheres to company safety, conduct sanitation, and follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) in all areas of responsibility
  • Follows established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
  • Ability to perform Pre-Batch functions of scooping and weighing ingredients
    • Understands and adheres to proper scaling techniques
    • Ability to safely set up and operate ingredient processing equipment (grinders, can openers, mixers etc.) as well as material handling equipment (powered pallet lifts, WAVE, fork truck etc.)
  • Keeps Pre-Batch area clean and organized
    • Takes out trash and cardboard as needed
    • Properly seals and tags all ingredient containers
  • Responsible for being a participant on plant teams and committees
  • Responds to change productively, and handles other duties as needed
  • Performs other tasks as requested by supervisor

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates ability to effectively communicate with associates
  • Has a positive approach to challenge solving
  • Has good math and measuring skills
  • Capable of performing math and proficient with calculator
  • Performs work in a safe and timely manner with minimal direct supervision
  • Knowledge of BVF Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)

Environmental Working Conditions

  • Employee must comply with all safety policies and safe work procedures established by the company.  Job tasks may also involve:    
    • Using personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, goggles, gloves, and other equipment as established in company policies and safe work procedures. Compliant with the uniform policy.
    • Lifting up to 50 pounds, anything over should seek assistance
    • Frequent carrying, bending, standing, sitting, and repetitive motion
  • Employee will be expected to attend safety training, serve on the facility safety committee and participate in hazard analysis and resolution
