Position Summary / Career Interest:

Assists Dentist during examination and treatment of patients and to provide support to patients and coworkers.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

• Prepares patient, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, prepares materials and assists dentist during procedures
• Takes and records medical and dental histories and treatment information in patient records
• Takes and exposes dental diagnostic x-rays.
• Assist the front office when necessary in reception and scheduling duties.
• Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Graduate

Preferred Licensure and Certification

• Dental Assistant Certification upon Hire
