Raytheon is seeking an Engineer to lead the Patriot Deployment, Fielding & Sustainment (DFS) efforts as the Chief Engineer. The Patriot program is a dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities. Every day is a different set of challenges to overcome. Whether hardware, software, networking, or some combination, you'll be stretched to learn about how our systems work and identify the sources of new and unexpected issues through lots of troubleshooting and data analysis. You'll be expected to collaborate across disciplines and partner to implement solutions. In this role, you'll get to know a little bit about every aspect of the system and have a direct hand in making it all work together supporting engineering efforts across the program.
What You Will Do
- Reporting, archiving, and governance of Deployment, Feilding & Sustainment (DFS) issues
- Engage subject matter expert (SME) support and ensuring the product line awareness of field issues and ensure resolution and corrective actions
- Set and drive capability roadmaps
- Drive lessons learned from Engineering to the Integrated Product Team (IPT)
- Resolve engineering technical issues related to DFS scope
- Contribute to proposal activity related to Engineering scope within the IPT
- Flyaway SME Training/Development
- Collaborate with Maintenance Engineering to increase Fault Detection/Fault Isolation effectiveness
- Able to support limited OCONUS travel for Patriot System maintenance and repair
- Chair the Patriot DFS Control Change Board for CDRLs, Documents, and Objects for PDM Release
- Collaborate with IMFC Field Support and IFMC System Engineering for DFS Strategies
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
- Able to lead teams, inspiring confidence in others
- Anticipated travel is 15% to support Patriot DFS efforts
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with deployment, fielding, and/or sustainment OCONUS system.
- Active and transferable US Government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. US Citizenship is required, as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- CORE Framework Certified or Raytheon Six Sigma
- Elevated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, general proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Detailed oriented with ability to identify and resolve complex technical challenges
- Patriot System product knowledge experience
- Demonstrated ability to influence through teaming and collaboration
