Job Description

Responsibilities

 

  • Oversee company’s Treasury function and maintain relationships with banking institutions
  • Oversight of AP and Payroll functions
  • Assist with complex accounting transactions, including acquisitions
  • Oversee reporting requirements in coordination with finance to the board and lenders
  • Run point on projects in the accounting department such as new software or accounting guidance implementation
  • Develop and implement accounting procedure recommendations by analyzing current processes
  • Participate in budget cycle and how data flows from the ERP (NetSuite) to the finance model

Qualifications

Employment Prerequisites

  • 5-7 years experience in accounting roles with increasing responsibility
  • Active CPA license
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP, Canadian ASPE is recommended
  • Experience in software industry is desired
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to carry out instructions to others

 

Desired Competencies

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Previous experience with Netsuite or similar ERP’s is preferred

Travel Requirements - None

Supervisory Role - Potentially 2-3 people
