Develop, implement, and evaluate the organization's business strategies.  Facilitates communication among stakeholders:  board members, staff, patients and community leaders.  Clearly communicates the organizational mission and builds strategic partnerships.  Evaluates financial performance areas for revenue growth.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required; degree in Healthcare Administration preferred
  • Fellow American College of Healthcare Executives Certificate
  • Must have extensive experience in the healthcare industry
  • Previous experience in senior leadership preferred

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participates in the development and implementation of CMH strategic planning, operational planning, and values implementation programs.
  • Participates with members of the governing body, management, medical staff and clinical areas in CHM decision-making structures and processes.
  • Responsible for the planning, administration, coordination and evaluation of all direct reporting departments/services.
  • Creates a work atmosphere that encourages team members to reach their full potential. 
  • Participates in developing hospital-wide patient care programs, policies and procedures that documents how patient’s nursing care needs are assessed, evaluated and achieved.  
  • Attends Medical Staff Committees and various organizational/management meetings regularly to enhance collaboration and communication. 
  • Assures Human Resources and Administrative Policies and Procedures are appropriately administered with the organization.  Assures compliance with regulating agencies’ standards.
  • Analyze operations to evaluate performance of the Hospital and its staff in meeting objectives, and to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement and policy changes.
  • Confer with board members, organization officials, and staff members to discuss issues, coordinate activities and resolve problems. 
  • Review submitted reports in order to recommend approval or to suggest changes.
  • Review and analyze legislation, laws, and public policy and recommend changes to promote and support interest of both the community and the hospital.
  • Interacts with community leaders and organizations to promote the hospital.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as recommended by the Board of Managers.

• Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices

• Demonstrate outstanding customer service/advocacy, professionalism and integrity


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong understanding of clinical operations, financial management, regulatory compliance and a proven track record in strategic planning
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large teams, build consensus, manage complex situations, and navigate stakeholder relationships.
  • Understanding of healthcare financial management, budgeting, revenue cycle, and cost control strategies.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently on various tasks as well as an affinity for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and external partners.
  • Strong reasoning/critical thinking skills
  • Excellent time management, collaboration, prioritization and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with computer skills including Microsoft Office applications 
  • Willingness to adapt to change and support new technologies as well as policies and procedures in a positive manner
