About the role

Have a passion for leading teams and fixing things? As a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor supporting our Kellanova’s Kansas City bakery, you will play a key role in the operation of the facility, delivering maintenance programs and processes essential to our plant operation. Based on one of our state-of-the-art facilities, you will lead and develop a team of employees to sustain and maintain the plant’s critical equipment.  You will manage contracted building services which support our day-to-day operation by conducting regulatory inspections, building and equipment repairs.

 

The schedule for this role will be Monday – Friday from 5:30 am – 2:30 am with occasional weekend work.

 

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Drive Change -Incorporating a culture of inclusion and continuity within all departments through Continuous Improvement.
  • Strategize to Win -Directing, training and developing maintenance team members for assigned area/shift. Facilitate environmental compliance/ Including process wastewater, air permit compliance, and CFC management. Accountable for facility equipment operation and readiness - boilers and related steam systems, air compressors, dryers, cooling towers, HVAC systems, chillers, pumps, TOX units, plumbing and drains.
  • Drive Efficiency -Using problems solving skills and root cause analysis to resolve and/or mitigate maintenance issues. Schedule and Plan work from a Master management calendar.
  • Impact Results -Identifying opportunities to eliminate cost and/or waste through applying LEAN manufacturing principles.
  • Take a New Angle -Identifying, implementing and documenting maintenance and reliability best practices while incorporating a culture of inclusion and continuity within all departments.

 

We’re Looking for Someone With

 

  • High School Diploma or GED and related work experience.
  • Related work experience in an Industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Electrical and Mechanical competency, able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical prints.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and solve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others and work with employees at all levels of the organization.

 

Compensation

 

The annual salary range is $72,600 - $95,235, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
