About the role

Overview

Serves as Project Coordinator for implementation plans within the nursing departments. Responsible for the review, validation, analysis and reporting of Patient Care Services (PCS) division clinical and operational data to include financial and productivity reports, budget compliance and variances, and nursing/clinical data. Designs and delivers Performance Improvement (PI) reports and presentations; analysis and validation of accuracy of clinical informatics and technology systems data; and development and maintenance of clinical dashboards.  Further, identifies opportunities for and promotes standardization of processes and best practices within the PCS division.  Supports financial functions within the PCS department.

Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinates the analysis and reporting of PCS division productivity, patient satisfaction, staffing, performance improvement, patient throughput, and financial operations.
  • Works closely with the Enterprise Analytics team to develop and interpret analytic reports that drive strategic nursing decisions.
  • Ensures accurate data submissions and reporting deadlines are met for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitors and audits patient medical records and clinical data to validate accuracy and improve reporting quality
  • Coordinates the reporting of nursing data to the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI), expanding datasets when new indicators are defined.
  • Evaluates, maintains integrity, and assesses the necessity of internal and external incentive programs
  • Oversees payment processing and recording of invoices related to purchases, contracted nursing staff, subscriptions, and other PCS division expenses.
  • Collaborates with nursing financial resources to generate and present monthly and quarterly financial reports to nursing leadership and executive teams.
  • Monitors salary and equipment budget compliance and conducts variance analysis to enhance financial oversight
  • Assists in the development and execution of annual capital and operational budget planning.
  • Coordinates with nurse scheduling (Smart Square) analysts to manage data and reporting related to contingent labor staffing.
  • Participates in the creation and refinement of new staffing systems and operational plans to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitors nursing workflows and recommends enhancements for operational effectiveness
  • Serves as Project Coordinator in collaboration with Project Owners, facilitating the development of project plans, task assignments, timelines, stakeholder communication, policy development, education, and post-implementation support
  • Facilitates and/or participates in operational and process improvement teams using established methodologies.
  • Collaborates with the Nursing team to develop SMART goals based on data analytics to drive performance improvement.
  • Presents findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner
  • Promotes and fosters data-driven decision-making through detailed analysis and reporting.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Business, Accounting, Informatics, Nursing or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.  Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, Project Management software and have basic knowledge of Tableau.  Must be able to type 25-30 words per minute.  Must be knowledgeable in the use of office technology and equipment.  Experience in project coordination/managemen
