As a Manufacturing Software Developer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Developing, implementing, and maintaining software and systems for 3M manufacturing environments
• Researching and learning new technologies and techniques as needed to meet rapidly evolving software needs
• Understanding and integrating with 3M’s manufacturing data systems and control systems to provide data automation solutions to our manufacturing sites
• Interacting with process engineers and controls engineers to understand problems and assess the need for smart manufacturing solutions
• Adhering to team programming conventions and best practices for secure and maintainable code

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
• Two years of software development experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Full stack web developer (C#, ASP.net)
• Strong Microsoft SQL skills (database tables, scripts, stored procedures/etc.)
• Savigent (Symphony AI) Workflow
• Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI)
• Experience with software applications in the manufacturing environment (MES)
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular, Bootstrap)
• GitHub, JIRA/DevOps, Confluence

Work location: Maplewood, MN

Travel: May include up to 15% domestic and international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.
