This position is responsible for providing hardware development support. This person will serve as the engineering build and material coordinator as well as the engineering liaison. Primary tasks for this position includes ordering and kitting of parts, coordinating builds, managing short lead time requests, creating and managing parts tracking spreadsheets, working with purchasing to obtain quotes and lead times, coordinating shipments, working with Customer Owned Property and other general support as requested within the hardware engineering teams. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, proactive, able to work with engineering to meet multiple deadlines, thrives on working in a fast-paced environment, and is a proven multi-tasker with a strong attention to detail.
What You Will Do
Ordering and tracking parts
BOM creation
Facilitating PREP reviews
Releasing drawings/documents, tracking and ordering COPS, GFE
Shipping as required, and other general support as requested
Edits format of required documentation
Interfaces with technicians, engineers and engineering managers to create/ edit documentation
Assists in tracking action items, risk management tools, and tasks in the change management tools
Supports the Bid & Proposal process, assisting in bid narratives and bid reviews
Networks with both internal and external personnel at multiple levels in own area of expertise
Represents organization as a prime contact on projects, often coordinating activities of support personnel and communicating effectively
Obtaining or providing information or data on matters of moderate importance to the function of the department or which may be of sensitive nature
Generally works on moderately difficult assignments which are given in terms of objectives to be accomplished and priorities to be followed. Requires judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations
Contributes to lab management team utilizing SCOUT
Manages and assigns EMC board review requests
What You Must Have
Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
