JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The laboratory of Asst. Professor Hyebin Song, Department of Statistics, and Professor Ed O’Brien, in the Department of Chemistry, at The Pennsylvania State University, seeks to fill a part-time research assistant in applied statistics from January 2024 through August 2024. The project will involve data wrangling and statistical analyses to test if there exists statistical associations between protein structure and disease. The candidate should have extensive experience in coding in R, and an undergraduate degree in applied statistics before the start date of employment. Self-motivation is essential. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset are also necessary to work in this highly multidisciplinary environment.
