SUMMARY
Under general supervision, performs administrative personnel support functions for the Nutrition department; assists with recruiting and screening applicants; works with Site Supervisors and Administrative team to design, schedule, and organize training opportunities for food service employees.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assists with developing and organizing training opportunities for food service staff.
- Coordinates training activities, schedules, and instructors for food service staff.
- Gathers and compiles data; assists MPS staff in analyzing and interpreting data in order to implement programs to more effectively meet the training needs of staff.
- Responds to requests for information and assistance; explains department and district policies to employees and applicants.
- Assists department staff with recruiting food service personnel; attends school functions.
- Schedules and coordinates interviews for food service applicants.
- Coordinates probation period calendar and ensures completion of reviews.
- Evaluates personnel data reports, updates databases and files, and corrects data as needed.
- Performs various administrative functions within the Nutrition department; processes transactional information; performs technical records management duties, data entry, and database management.
- Researches and resolves employee issues, and communicates information on status and changes.
- Demonstrates courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with students, clients, visitors, and MPS staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment
- Enthusiastically promotes the Superintendent’s goals and priorities in compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, records and MPS information.
- Other duties or tasks may be assigned on an as-needed basis
- At times may be required to work outside normal business hours and work extended hours to accomplish requirements of the position.
