About the role

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare general journal entries and reports for month-end close.
  • Reconcile a variety of balance sheet accounts including bank accounts, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, inventory and accruals.
  • Prepare and maintain internal financial statements.
  • Perform regular analytical reviews of operating expenses.
  • Assist internal, external, and regulatory auditors in their examination of accounting records.
  • Assist in annual budget preparation by providing financial information and analysis as requested.
  • Build and maintain relationships with business unit leaders and operational managers to better understand the business and provide financial information as needed.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Solid analytical and critical thinking skills to review data and ensure that accounting policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and Financial Statement Reporting.
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently while meeting deadlines through proper time-management.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to enable collaboration with team members in accounting as well as within the business operations.
  • Ability to solve difficult and complex accounting and related financial problems.

Education/Experience

  • 3-7 years accounting experience and financial statement preparation required.
  • Four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • CPA preferred.
  • NetSuite experience is highly desired.
  • Public accounting experience preferred.
  • Intercompany reconciliation and consolidation experience preferred.

Domestic travel will be occasionally required.
