The Position:Makpar is searching for an experienced Accounting/Pricing Manager.  If you are driven and looking to be a part of a team that tackles complex and critical client challenges, Makpar can provide a dynamic, mission-focused, and rewarding environment for your professional growth.

Role Specific Duties:

• Lead, manage and monitor accounting functions for a small government contracting company.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports.
• Ensure bank and investment accounts and balance sheet accounts are timely and accurately reconciled.
• Develop, generate, and manage timely accounting reports.
• Maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
• Supervise and fill in when necessary for monthly invoicing processes.
• Create management tools and best practices that effectively monitor accounting processes.
• Assist with annual financial audits and prepare special financial reports for upper management.
• On a monthly basis complete profitability analysis.
• Assist with payroll and employee leave tracking ensuring that all deductions process accurately, and that payroll is accurately recorded in the general ledger.
• Assist with pricing for proposals which will include experience with contracts, federal acquisitions, and competitive pricing analysis.

Required Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with ability to consolidate and analyze financial data.
• Must be familiar with QuickBooks. Experience with other accounting systems is a plus.
• Ability to analyze numbers quickly and accurately.
• Advanced computer skills using MS Office.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in government contracting.
• 4-year degree and minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting /finance role.
