We are currently seeking multiple Senior Systems Engineers to our DoD customer. The objective of the Software Systems Design and Development task area is to design, develop, integrate, sustain, and synchronize systems to meet the needs of the nation’s Warfighters, national level leaders, and mission and coalition partner organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and build out virtual infrastructure 
• Support Tech Refresh efforts through research 
• Work closely with government clients and contractor team 
• Provide customer support in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of computer systems programs, software, and operations to ensure that systems are functioning according to design specifications
• Provide technical support and diagnoses and resolves system problems
• Participate in the development of new systems or tailors’ commercial products to meet user requirements
• Develop documentation to describe system requirements and use
• Develop and implement complex system requirements
• Design software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analyses and manages their implementation
• Manage software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques, and CASE tools
• Review existing programs and assists in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improving current techniques

 
 

Required Skills:

• Active TOP SECRET clearance
• 8+ years of relevant IT engineering experience
• 8+ years of experience with software factories or development pipelines
• Ability to plan and lead major technology assignments 
• Ability to evaluates performance results and recommend major changes affecting short-term project growth and success 
• Abilityto function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments
• Ability to work and adapt quickly to a fast-paced and demanding environment
• 8+ years  of experience implementing DevSecOps pipeline tools (i.e., GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins)
• 8+ years of experience with RedHat
• Knowledge of DoD Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs)

• Experience in:
  • PKI, Certificate Authority
  • Active Directory, GPOWindows
  • ESXi/ VMware
  • Standalone Linux
  • Active Directory
  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
  • Systems Administration tools (SolarWinds / MS SQL / Splunk / etc)
• Prior experience supporting DoD Command and Control Systems 
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or another related technical field
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Workshop facilitation
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Ability to work in a team
