Boeing Global Services is seeking an Experienced Customer Training Specialist to join their team in Englewood, Ca.  This role maintains and develops professional, high-quality training material and delivers training through various methodologies.  Supports and provides input to training coordination and scheduling activities. Interacts with Subject Matter Experts (SME), leadership and peers to ensure current content and training skills are up-to-date.  Constantly challenges existing training processes and routines for improvement opportunities to the global learning system.  Acts in a capacity of a SME in order to ensure application of standardized procedures and processes and to leverage global training best practices and own improvement initiatives.  Seeks learning and development opportunities to enhance his/ her own training capabilities.

This is a hybrid position that allows some telecommuting.  The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the Englewood, CO location.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conducts trainings and performs training-related activities. This includes: Preparing trainings and necessary materials, conducting training classes, assessing training and trainee's effectiveness. Consistently applying facilitation industry best practices.

  • Uses feedback to improve training content through collaboration with respective training partners and evaluates training curricula for correctness and currency.

  • Serves as, and collaborates with, other subject matter experts (SMEs) and instructional designers to create new training content.

  • Provides continuous guidance, coaching, and feedback on performance and behavior to the trainees and trainee's leadership.

  • Maintains and grows experiential knowledge, skills, and abilities in multiple areas of technical expertise.

  • Actively participates in Information and Knowledge Services (IKS) internal Community of Practice (CoP) meetings. Acts as a SME in order to ensure application of standardized procedures and processes and to leverage global training best practices.

  • Supports and provides input to training coordination and scheduling activities.

  • Consistently challenges existing training processes and routines for improvement opportunities to the global learning system. Begins to lead improvement initiatives.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in Trainer Skills with presenting, teaching, coaching, and time management

  • 3+ years with very good verbal and written English communication skills

  • 3+ years of using the Microsoft Office Suite

  • 3+ years of Technical Leadership experience, being able to motivate and focus on the new learner, empathetic and open for feedback, self-confident, and able to liaise proactively.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Degree in aviation navigation or adult learning studies desired, but not required; Equivalent degree (e.g pilot, dispatch license, trainer) acceptable as well.

  • 3 years of training class facilitation experience

  • 3 years of working experience in a GDM production charting asset or other areas of expertise

  • Knowledgeable in, and able to teach, more than one GDM production asset

  • Problem solving:  Able to deal with moderate complexity and learning difficulties.

Typical Education/ Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.  In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
