Job Title: Financial Operations Administrator

Summary
Provide accounting support to Financial Services Division to include reconciliation of agency accounts/funds; preparation of state and federal financial reports; assistance in preparation of agency's annual budget and budget request; application of payments received to open accounts receivable; maintenance of financial data for Agency Special Account conference activity.


Education and Experience 

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • Three years' experience in accounting/finance related field 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance related field

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Apply payments received to open Accounts Receivable; prepare daily deposit; conduct
  • Analyze General Ledger transactions for accuracy and/or coding issues; work with division managers and prepare journal entry corrections; advise Finance Manager as to divisional budget status.
  • Prepare agency's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report according to OMES guidelines.
  • Prepare the agency's annual indirect cost rate request and submit to the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Prepare agency's Cost for Secondary Students report and submit to State Department of Education.
  • Prepare annual K-12 Receipts to Disbursements report for educational divisions.
  • Assist Finance Manager in the preparation and submission of the agency's budget to OMES; work closely with OMES Budget Analyst as needed.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations and monthly financial reports and submit as applicable to internal staff and/or external entities by required deadlines.
  • Manage agency's credit card reporting and authorization system, including monthly statement analysis and reports.
  • Work collaboratively with other Financial Operations Administrator in Financial Services division to ensure continuity in Technology Center reporting.
  • Provide back-up expertise for other Financial Services functions.

 

Salary and Benefits

$56,985.95 - $63,421.34
