As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for access control and monitoring at a government location, playing a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to promote a secure environment, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $33.44 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeThur01:30 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with access control procedures by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Provide customer service by addressing questions and assisting visitors and employees in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to observe for security-related concerns and report any irregularities.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal or site management.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least five years of security-related experience or three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
