As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for access control and monitoring at a government location, playing a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to promote a secure environment, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Job Schedule:
DayTimeThur01:30 PM - 10:00 PMWhat You’ll Do:
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Assist with access control procedures by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the location.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
- Provide customer service by addressing questions and assisting visitors and employees in accordance with site-specific policies.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to observe for security-related concerns and report any irregularities.
- Support emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal or site management.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required.

- Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least five years of security-related experience or three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
