Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

This is a unique hybrid role that blends project management with production supervision—ideal for a sharp problem-solver looking to make a tangible impact and grow into future roles in Engineering, Facilities, Supply Chain, or Technology.
�� What You’ll Do
Project Leadership
- Lead cross-functional projects to improve workflows, optimize performance, and introduce new processes.
- Identify inefficiencies and drive solutions with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ensure documentation aligns with ISO standards.
Team Development
- Train and mentor future Team Leaders.
- Support ongoing development for operators and support staff to foster a growth-focused culture.
Workforce Management
- Step in for absent Team Leaders to oversee hourly associates and coordinate operations.
- Balance workloads, resolve day-to-day issues, and manage attendance to ensure accurate payroll.
Communication & Engagement
- Champion open dialogue and collaborative problem-solving across departments.
- Take part in our Team Leader Continuous Improvement Team to shape strategy from the ground up.
�� Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Flexibility required to meet project deadlines
- Occasional night/weekend coverage when providing Team Leader support

�� What We’re Looking For
Required
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree
- Proficiency in Excel (basic formulas) and Word
Preferred
- Degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 1–3 years in a manufacturing environment
- Prior supervisory experience is a plus, but not required—we welcome rising talent
- Strong analytical and communication skills across all plant levels
