Description

We are a prominent and growing Personal Injury Law Firm in Newport Beach and are seeking a Settlement Attorney to join our team! The ideal candidate is self-motivated who thrives in an independent work environment and can handle a significant caseload.

As our Settlement Attorney in our Pre-Litigation Personal Injury department, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of attorneys and case managers in the fight to earn the largest wrongful death, TBI, catastrophic injury, and major orthopedic settlements achievable.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage personal injury cases from inception through settlement.
  • Analyze client cases, including reviewing medical records, police reports, and other evidence.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters, defense attorneys, and third parties to ensure clients receive fair compensation.
  • Prepare and draft demand letters, settlement offers, and other legal correspondence.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, updating them on case progress and settlement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with experts such as medical professionals, accident reconstructionist, and other specialists to support case development.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and procedural requirements throughout the settlement process.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys, assisting with litigation strategy when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Must be fluent in Spanish.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and valid CA bar license.
  • 2+ years of experience handling personal injury cases, with a focus on settlement negotiations.
  • Proven ability to successfully negotiate settlements in personal injury matters.
  • Strong understanding of personal injury law, insurance policies, and client advocacy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage a significant caseload.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong client service orientation and a compassionate approach to helping those in need.
