Winter 24-45 New Graduate RN – Atrium Health Behavioral Health Charlotte     

Are you a nursing student about to complete your RN education program or a recent graduate with less than six months of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!    

We are seeking full-time New Grad RNs for our Behavioral Health Residency. Atrium Health Behavioral Health Charlotte is a facility of Carolinas Medical Center. It is the only dedicated psychiatric emergency department in the region and provides treatment across a broad continuum of inpatient and outpatient services. Our psychiatric emergency room provides a diverse range of experiences including triage, crisis management and care of patients in observation units awaiting disposition. You will work with both adults and children, emphasizing patient-centered care that addresses the needs of individuals and their families.

Job Summary  

The RN Clinical Nurse I provides professional nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies procedures, and/or protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader. Assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities safely. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served.   

Physical Requirements: Candidates must perform various physical tasks, communicate effectively, maintain senses and dexterity, demonstrate critical thinking and quick response, and pass a Physical Abilities Test.   

Education: Graduate from a School of Nursing with a preference for a BSN degree.   

Licensure: Must hold a valid RN license in the state of work/residence or if declaring a National License Compact (NLC) state as your primary state of residency, meet the licensure requirements in your home state; or for Non-National License Compact states, current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner required in the state where the RN works.
