The Work You Will Do:
This position serves as the Deputy Chief Data Officer in the Office of the Secretary and is primarily responsible for leading and supporting data analytics projects, user training, stakeholder engagement and collaboration, and process review and improvement across the Department’s data catalog.
Your Specific Responsibilities:
Support the data integrity efforts for the Department. Ensure the accuracy of data entered into the Department’s centralized information systems. Support planning activities conducted by program areas through data and research activities.
The employee in this position will assist the Office of the Secretary implement an effective system to make data-informed decisions, including setting goals for each programmatic Division; ensure a consistent, valid, and reliable system of data measurement and methodology; oversee and develop and ensure a robust and efficient data collection process; conduct statistical analysis of identified Division performance metrics, and utilize graphical displays to summarize and communicate data with efficacy.
Ensure the Department’s data needs are addressed in a competent and timely manner. This will include, but is not limited to, both on-going needs and special projects, such as Legislative Budget Requests (LBRs) /budget support, public information requests, internal and external communications needs, and data requests from the Florida Legislature.
Lead Department data gathering, analysis, and reporting efforts. Responsible for the on-going development and management of service goal measurement and efficiency processes.
Develop and supervise the implementation and expansion of interactive dashboard reports for pubic and internal use throughout the Department’s programmatic areas.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement using emerging data and trends and consult with leadership.
Responsible for coordinating with staff to track and gather data.
Responsible for identifying and analyzing data to be included in presentations/demonstrations appropriate for high-level audiences such as the Florida Legislature.
Conduct advanced statistical evaluations of Department programs or initiatives using a variety of methods including, but not limited to: coarsened exact matching (CEM), exact matching, linear regression, logistic/binary regression, multinomial logistic regression, structured equation modeling (SEM), hierarchal linear modeling, survival analysis, time-series analysis, and other interrupted time-series designs.
