Our global team of software architects is defining the leading edge of wireless technologies by helping to shape the interaction between the demands of customers, regulators and standards bodies and our world class software development, QA and infrastructure teams. Any new software project within Silicon Labs, ranging from seemingly insignificant to business critical, is greatly influenced by the team, making it the incubator for new innovations. Next to advancing Silicon Laboratories’ technology leadership, the software architecture team is continuously striving to improve the efficiency of internal software workflows across the entire software lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Architect and prototype software solutions with a high degree of autonomy to meet the requirements of both internal and external customers and help drive them to completion

• Streamline redundant tasks and infrastructure, enhancing developer productivity and software development speed.

• Provide advanced troubleshooting expertise across teams and domains: Networking, system configuration, API performance, etc.

• Self-motivated and self-driven mindset to strive for continuous improvement of both our customer facing software products as well as our internal software workflows

Skills You Will Need

Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in both software development and DevOps practices

• Proficiency in major programming languages (Java, C#, C, Go, Python, JavaScript). (C or C++ or Java) and Python preferred

• Proficiency in source control systems and source management processes

• Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to present technical topics at conferences or gatherings

• Robust analytical, diagnostic, and problem solving skills

The following qualifications will be considered a plus:

• Strong technical leadership skills. Must be able to sell ideas to executives and other technical leads

• Experience in embedded software development for wireless protocols; testing and simulation (e.g. Renode) with 100s of (virtual) devices

• Experience in utilizing AI tools (MS Copilot, Cursor) for streamlining code development and analysis

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $135,800 - $252,200 USD. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location where work will be performed and applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus, equity package and a comprehensive benefits package.
