The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Continuous Improvement Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Lead complex initiatives, align project priorities with strategic goals, influence key stakeholders, and develop Lean capabilities within the team. Key responsibilities include active facilitation, team coaching, CI tool leverage, and project ownership and oversight.
  • Use lean value stream mapping to collaborate with business leaders, analyze operations to identify and prioritize and action opportunities for to improve flow, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization in alignment with strategic goals.
  • Build our organizational continuous improvement culture by establishing and proliferating training and mentorship in CI basics to enhance frontline daily solving capabilities and enable operational excellence.
  • Coach cross-functional teams on Value Stream Mapping, Lean, DMAIC, Kaizen, and Agile techniques to key influencers and leaders to unlock maximum potential.
  • Facilitate workshops, Kaizen events, and training sessions leveraging transactional Lean principles and best practices to drive step function improvements in process capability and results. Lead cross functional teams end to end through the problem solving journey.
  • Conduct business process analysis, create and implement change management strategies, and monitor key performance indicators.
  • Gather, validate, and analyze data to support the organization’s continuous improvement initiatives and ongoing activities

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND four (4) years of experience lead and drive Continuous Improvement processes and projects

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED AND eight (8) years of experience lead and drive Continuous Improvement processes and projects

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
  • Two or more (2+) year experience with driving Lean Value Stream mapping, from current state to future state.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Previous experience working in Healthcare or Medical Devices Industries
  • Strong background in transactional lean process redesign and improvement
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and change management skills
  • Strong understanding of customer support processes and ability to align process improvements to customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Location: San Antonio, TX
