We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer Energy – Remote. This remote position is based out of our Oak Ridge, TN office.

How will you contribute to the team?
Performs conceptual, preliminary and/or detailed design of Electrical Systems including definition of system functional and performance requirements and environmental and seismic qualification.
Prepares, reviews and /or updates technical specification, sizing, and selection for various types of Electrical equipment and components, and produce component related documentation.;
Prepares, reviews and /or updates Electrical engineering design documents including, Design Description, SLD, Schematics, Detailed Drawings, BOMs together with the supporting analysis / assessment documents (e.g., Load Flow, Short Circuit, Protection Coordination, Arc Flash, Motor Starting, etc.).
Conducts Electrical System Design Assessments for adequacy to applicable design basis documentation (Safety Assessment Report, Margin Assessment, Safe Operating Envelope etc.) and US / Canadian Nuclear Regulatory Codes and Standards.
Interfaces with various engineering disciplines, suppliers, and other functional divisions of the company.
Provides responses to technical enquiries from design review teams and regulatory agencies.
Provides technical support to engineering stakeholders at site.
Applies sound engineering principles to resolve technical issues and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
Complies with applicable QA procedures and ensure the quality, consistency, accuracy, and completeness of engineering deliverables/task within specified timelines and budgets.
Attends site meetings and perform walk-downs for data collection, inspections, condition assessment and configuration management as required.
Supports plant emergent issues, equivalency evaluations and Commercial Grade Dedication plans.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What will you contribute?
Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited University with eight to twelve years of relevant experience (8 years for intermediate and 12 years for senior positions) in the Nuclear Industry as a Design or System engineer.
Thorough knowledge of Electrical system functions, configurations and equipment as used in Nuclear Power plants (including Safety and non-Safety Related Systems) or similar systems in other industries.
Registered Professional Engineer License preferred.
Knowledge of Standard Modification Design Process is an asset.
Thorough knowledge in Analysis software used in Electrical engineering (e.g., ETAP, EDSA, EMTP-RV, etc.)
Proven experience sizing and specifying electrical equipment.
Proven experience preparing and reviewing complex Electrical design layouts and schematics.
Proven experience preparing and reviewing Electrical Protection and Control designs.
Experience in conducting condition assessments of Electrical systems.
Experience interfacing with US NRC for Standard Review Plan is an asset.
