What you’ll do

The Director, Operational Reporting & Performance Analytics provides enterprise leadership for internal operational reporting, performance management, and quality management across Health Plans, Inc. This role is responsible for establishing and executing the organization's strategy to centralize operational reporting within the Enterprise Analytics department, transitioning reporting responsibilities from individual operational business units into a scalable, standardized reporting model.
 
The Director oversees the development of tactical operational reporting that supports daily, weekly, and monthly management activities while also leading strategic executive reporting that enables informed decision making across the organization. This leader develops enterprise KPI frameworks, facilitates monthly operational business reviews, monitors performance guarantee results, and implements a formal Quality Management program that identifies underperforming metrics, conducts root cause analysis, and partners with the Transformation team to drive continuous process improvement.

In this role, you’ll also: 

  • Develop and execute a multi-year strategy to centralize operational reporting within Enterprise Analytics.
  • Partner with operational leaders to transition reporting responsibilities while preserving business knowledge and service levels.
  • Establish governance, standards, ownership, documentation, and prioritization for all operational reporting.
  • Standardize enterprise KPI definitions, reporting cadence, and scorecards across departments.
  • Oversee development and delivery of daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc operational reporting.
  • Ensure reporting is timely, accurate, automated, scalable, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Lead creation of executive dashboards using Power BI and enterprise reporting platforms.
  • Implement reporting intake, prioritization, and service management processes.
  • Lead monthly operational business reviews with executive leadership.
  • Develop executive scorecards covering departmental KPIs, operational performance, client Performance Guarantees, service levels, financial and operational trends.
  • Provide executive insight, narrative, and recommendations beyond reporting results.
  • Identify enterprise risks, trends, and opportunities through proactive analytics.
  • Design and implement an enterprise Quality Management framework for operational performance.
  • Monitor enterprise KPIs and establish thresholds requiring corrective action.
  • Lead root cause analyses for KPIs that fail to achieve targets over defined periods.
  • Coordinate cross-functional corrective action plans and monitor sustained improvement.
  • Develop formal referral processes for the Transformation team for process improvement opportunities.
  • Track improvement initiatives from identification through implementation and benefit realization.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operational reporting team.
  • Build strong partnerships with Operations, Client Services, Finance, IT, Clinical Operations, and executive leadership.
  • Represent Enterprise Analytics in executive meetings and strategic initiatives.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in analytics, business intelligence, operational reporting, or healthcare operations.
  • 5+ years leading enterprise reportin
