Hilltop Family Practice is located at 85 Main Street, Somersworth, NH 03878. As a Family Medicine office, we provide outstanding primary care and preventative health care to patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors.

This role supports overall clinic operations by providing direct patient care—handling triage calls, nurse visits, rooming patients, and performing point-of-care testing—while also managing clinical schedules and administrative tasks related to office flow. The position does not include supervisory responsibilities but involves participating in performance conversations, assisting with recruitment, and serving as a key clinical resource for staff.
Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Registered Nurse Lead to support the practice onsite. The schedule for this position will consist of 5, 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday. The operating hours of the practice are Monday-Friday 7:00am to 5:30pm, so schedules are staggered accordingly.We do our best to keep all employees in their assigned practices and locations; however, you may also be asked to float to other departments in the WHP system when appropriate and needed during times of staffing shortages/other extenuating circumstances for cross-coverage purposes and to ensure adequate coverage and support.
Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients. Acts in lead capacity to other nursing staff.

Essential Functions
-Maintain accurate, detailed reports, and records.
-Administer medication to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
-Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
-Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
-Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff.
-Demonstrates best practices for staff to follow.
-May participate on teams or perform special projects/assignments.
Qualifications
Education
Associate's Degree Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Registered Nurse [RN - State License] required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support [ACLS] preferred
Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] preferred
Oncology Certified Nurse [OCN] - Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) preferred
Neonatal Advanced Life Support [NALS] - American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification preferred
Experience
Clinical nursing experience 2-3 years required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care
