The role provides an opportunity to be a leader at the ground level of HARMAN’s sustainability strategy for the Automotive division while creating a large path for future career opportunities in a field that is expanding at a rapid rate.

What You Will Do

• Monitor and analyze industry, markets and customer trends in regards to sustainability & ESG, and derive insights and positioning for HARMAN Automotive sustainability strategy to support the anticipated market trends and our corporate commitments
• Identify and consolidate the global automotive customer needs and requirements in the field of sustainability & ESG, and tailor strategy and portfolio according to customer demands and internal commitments
• Support customer requests with evaluation of external and internal requirements and commitments in regards to sustainability
• Establish key relationships with Automotive OEMs in the field of sustainability and represent HARMAN in sustainability organizations with customers involvement
• Coordinate internal project teams to clarify and align expectations and commitments towards customers

What You Need

• University Degree in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, or a related field with expertise or passion for sustainability management
• 5+ years professional experience in requirements management and/or engagement in ESG trends, ideally in multinational companies in Automotive
• Analytical ability: market research and trend analysis expertise (outside-in assessments)
• Project management skills and leadership of cross-functional teams
• Transformational, collaborative and communicative mindset

What is Nice to Have

• Strategic market knowledge, data bases, etc.
• Expert problem solver with the ability to identify and triage data to drive tactical solutions
• Network and expertise across Automotive value chain in sustainability (OEM, Tier-x)

What Makes You Eligible

• Be willing to travel up to 20% domestic and occasionally international travel
• Be willing to work in an office in Garching, Germany in a hybrid work environment
