Public Health Emergency Preparedness

In the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Subject Matter Expert role, you will develop, lead, and support programming related to public health emergency preparedness for various healthcare and community agency settings for one or more IPRO projects. This individual will work collaboratively to develop templates, tracking systems, educational content, and materials and maintain tracking and evaluation metrics. She/he will be responsible for assisting with the logistics of setting up, facilitating, and assessing the success of IPRO-developed educational events related to Public Health Emergency Preparedness and PHE plans. This individual is responsible for the timely submission of project data to ensure deliverable targets are met and for participation in developing project deliverables to include presentations highlighting programming events, materials, outcomes, and data.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of the principles and practices of emergency public health preparedness to include planning, risk assessment, gap analysis, continuity of operations, business continuity planning, post-event evaluation and quality improvement, adult education, instructional design and health care literacy.
• Superior communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate public health emergency preparedness data and methods to health care providers and community stakeholders with varying technical and clinical backgrounds.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of developing productive relationships with health care provider staff, consumers and community stakeholders including public health officials, health care providers, business, and political leaders.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, present, lead and collaborate in both virtual and in-person environments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a matrix team environment.
• Ability to travel to provider sites and conferences, as required.
• Computer proficiency with an ability to work in a variety of virtual meeting platforms. Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.) Experience with CRM platforms (i.e., Salesforce) preferred.
• Ability to provide formal and informal presentations to internal staff and external customers.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• A Bachelor’s degree in public health, or related field, required. Master’s Degree preferred.
• Two (2) years of related experience in emergency response planning or execution, preferably in a healthcare setting. 
• Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional (CHEP) certification preferred.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. The annualized salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$100,000.00. Actual salary range and/or hourly rate depends on a variety of factors including experience, education, credentials, location, and budget.
