Position Summary
FL85 is seeking a highly talented and motivated individual to develop lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulations for the delivery of information molecules. The candidate will contribute to the continual improvement of the FL85 platform, supporting multiple partners to advance novel delivery vehicles for various nucleic acid cargos. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in LNP formulation, as well as good communication and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, produce, and characterize LNP formulations to support preclinical research and drug development of genetic medicines
- Support the production of LNP formulations across multiple process scales
- Collaborate with scientists across the organization to advance company objectives
- Thoroughly document results in electronic lab notebooks and present findings to cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- BS/MS in life sciences or engineering, with 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Experience producing and characterizing nucleic acid LNPs is strongly desired
- Familiarity with common LNP analytical characterization techniques
- Experience with high throughput screening of LNPs would be a plus
- Experience with a variety of LNP process techniques and equipment scales would be a plus (mixers, pumping systems, TFF, etc.)
- A strong team player with the ability to work both independently and on cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Comfortable delivering against challenging commitments
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
