Overview

Stewart & Stevenson Manufacturing Technologies has 2 full time Senior Software Developer positions in Houston, Harris & Montgomery counties, TX.

Responsibilities

Plan, design, implement, test, and support desktop, web, and mobile applications using C#/.Net, C / C++, Angular, UWP, MVVM/MVC, Microservices, Rest API, and Database Management. Plan, create, and update Design Work and Tasks work items in Azure DevOps in accordance with Agile/Scrum project management practices. Participate in bi-weekly Team Sprint Planning sessions including identification and new work items and provide feedback on time and duration estimates for work items in Azure DevOps. Plan, create, and update desktop, bench, and Azure DevOps / Azure Services automated testing processes in accordance with DevOps best practices. Document program development, logic, and coding using C#/.Net, C / C++, Angular, UWP, MVVM/MVC, Microservices, Rest API, and Database Management. Audit and correct technical and user documentation. Provide support for designated application systems using C#/.Net, C / C++, Angular, UWP, MVVM/MVC, Microservices, Rest API, and Database Management. Develop and implement enhancements to existing application systems using C#/.Net, C / C++, Angular, UWP, MVVM/MVC, Microservices, Rest API, and Database Management. Replace, delete, or modify code to correct errors. Analyze, review, and alter programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements using C#/.Net, C / C++, Angular, UWP, MVVM/MVC, Microservices, Rest API, and Database Management. Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system. Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Coordinate installation of software system. Develop or direct software system testing or validation procedures, programming, or documentation. Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces and improve performance. Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, or Applied Physics, or its equivalent and 5 years of work experience as a Software Developer or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, or Applied Physics, or its equivalent and 3 years of work experience as a Software Developer.

3 years of C#/.Net application programming, 2 years of Azure DevOps, Azure services, Angular, UWP, MVVM/MVC, Microservices, Rest API, & Database Management, and 1 year of C/C++ programming.
