Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a talented Environmental Project Manager for immediate employment in our Seattle, Washington office Federal Group. Clients include U.S. Navy and USACE. Imagine making a positive impact in your community while working on rewarding projects, such as environmental investigation, remediation, or compliance projects. In this role (Environmental Project Manager III), you will be responsible for managing AECOM staff, subcontractors, technical delivery, stakeholder engagement and communication, client interaction, and financial management.
Responsibilities for this position include the following:
- Determine and define project scope and objectives.
- Manage all phases of projects (from proposal to close-out).
- Predict resource needs and manage resources effectively.
- Monitor project performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Make sound, well-informed and objective decisions with a strong understanding of the impact and implications of decisions.
- Provide technical oversight and quality control.
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
- Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks.
- Advise/mentor less experienced staff on project management skills.
- Develop and grow client relationships
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- BS in engineering, geology, environmental science or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in site investigation, remediation, and project management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- US Citizen/Permanent Resident.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of site investigation and remediation techniques to drive solutions for our clients.
- Federal DoD experience, is a strong priority/focus of this role, experience with these projects/clients will be looked at as a positive.
- Licensed or ability to obtain license in the State of Washington (Professional Engineer or Geologist).
- Experience and knowledge of CERCLA, Washington State Department of Ecology (MTCA), and Oregon Department of Environmental Quality cleanup laws.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and thorough understanding of USACE EM-385-1-1 safety requirements.
- PMP certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Experience successfully managing environmental projects for various types of clients.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication, both verbal and written skills.
- Experience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on time and on budget project delivery.
- Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders.
- Experience and interest in business development.
- Have led teams of professionals in executing site investigations, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, risk assessment, and treatability studies in support of Federal environmental projects.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Demonstrated team building and maintenance skills

Compensation
Exempt Position: The offered rate of compensation will be based for Seattle, WA on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position $100,000 - $130,000
