JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for a passionate individual who demonstrates initiative, takes ownership, respects commitments, and exhibits a high level of conviction and spirit of innovation. The ideal candidate would be a multitasking and creative analog IC designer. You will be responsible for designing state-of-the-art neuromorphic vision sensors and devices. You will be working on high-performance, low-power analog/mixed-signal integrated circuits in standard and state-of-the-art nanometer CMOS technology.

JOB DETAILS

  • Implement the full analog/mixed-signal IC development cycle (concept, specification, system design, transistor-level circuit design, analog and mixed–mode simulation, layout, verification, validation) ;
  • Perform analog/mixed-signal simulations on circuit level (Spice) and system level (VHDL-A/Verilog-A/SystemC/Matlab) ;
  • Design low-power CMOS circuits for sensor systems and sensor signal processing ;
  • Perform full custom silicon layout & verification of specific blocks ;
  • Participate to characterization of integrated circuits ;
  • Prepare detailed written specifications, test protocols and test reports ;
  • Ensuring compliance with the Quality System ;
  • Work in close collaboration with the whole R&D team ;
  • Work on several projects simultaneously with varying scope ;
  • Contribute to the support activities for any technical post-sales issues ;
  • Keep up to date with new standards and general market information in the Industry ;
  • Work innovatively and creatively within the group with a particular focus on protecting innovation and IP through the patent process ;
  • Participate in Technology / Supplier / Tool Selection ;
  • Participate in developing methodologies and flow efficiencies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Education and qualifications: MSc or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Physics or similar

Experience : 3+ years of hands-on experience in CMOS transistor-level and system-level design, circuit simulation and layout. Junior profile candidatures will also be considered.

    Required qualifications:

    • Knowledge of CMOS fabrication technology and design aspects of CMOS analog/mixed-mode design ;
    • Experience in IC design from system study to tape-out ;
    • Experience in analog circuit design, A/D – D/A, PLLs, OPAs/OTAs, switched cap circuits, bandgaps, LDOs, I/V references ;
    • Working knowledge of Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre ;
    • Working knowledge of verification tools: Cadence PVS and Siemens/Mentor Calibre ;
    • Proficiency in electronics lab infrastructure for ASIC evaluation and debugging.

    Preferred qualifications (We will consider your profile even without a mastering of these preferred qualifications) :

    • Familiar with the basics around Object-Oriented Programming. Knowledge of Python is desirable ;
    • Experienced with configuring and running Mixed-Mode Simulations within the Cadence Virtuoso Framework ;
    • Knowledge in VHDL-AMS/VHDL, Verilog-A/Verilog/SystemVerilog is appreciated ;
    • Experience in deep-sub micron CMOS technology ;
    • Experience in embedded system design and PCB design is appreciated ;
    • Experience in image sensors ;
    • Working knowledge of Linux with experience in scripting, debugging and programming (Shell, Skill, TCL, Perl).
