A Day in the Life

As a Principal Reliability Engineer, you will serve as both a technical leader and a change agent.
  • Responsibilities may include:
  • Plan, lead, execute, and integrate test and method validation activities, to demonstrate product performance and compliance
  • Support product design verification. and design validation testing. Including planning, protocol development, test execution, root cause analysis, data analysis, and report writing Apply statistical methods for analyzing data
  • Support and integrate Risk Management activities, to demonstrate product safety
  • Support Contribute to the successful completion of major capital equipment projects
  • Support the development and approval of the essential requirements matrix/ General Safety and Performance
  • Ensure adherence to the business Quality Management System through procedure compliance and internal audits
  • Perform engineering reviews of quality records for compliance with stated requirements and impact on safety and reliability
  • Implement initiatives in collaboration with Design, Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, and other cross-functional partners

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor/Masters degree in engineering degree
  • Familiarity with capital equipment or disposables
  • Experience in Safety Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, Product Development Engineering, Clinical, or Field Support 
  • Ability to comprehensively apply degree-specific engineering principles in the design of highly reliable, complex systems
  • Strong understanding of and experience in the application of statistics, including experience with Minitab
  • Experience in a highly-regulated industry, preferably medical devices
  • Experience in the application of Risk Management (ISO 14971) and hazard analysis and risk analysis techniques (e.g., PHA, HA, FTA, DFMEA)
  • Ability to independently lead investigations to identify system/product failures, hazards, hazardous situations, and harms

Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$120,000.00 - $ 178,000.00

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
