Software Engineer - Construction Documents Team

As a Software Engineer within the Construction Documents Group at Procore, you are given the unique opportunity to partner intimately with our customer base, translating their fundamental needs into technological SaaS solutions. Our Collaborative File Management vision is to provide a centralized way to organize, collaborate and access all project files. Backed by the might of our teams, we’ll provide you with the tools and resources needed to achieve extraordinary results that render a significant impact extending beyond the boundaries of traditional engineering roles. 

This position will report into the Engineering Manager for the Documents team, and can be located remotely anywhere in the U.S. 

What you’ll do:

• Evolve our existing codebase from a monolithic Rails application into a modular system with clear, well-enforced domain boundaries and a coherent public interface

• Participate in designing and building a system that is aligned with Procore’s technical vision of a Service-Oriented Architecture

• Build, maintain, and develop a wide series of microservices and are looking for engineers adept at discovering new opportunities and driving them to completion.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and UX to design and build solutions that delight users and solve critical business problems

What we're looking for:

• 2+ years experience in Object-Oriented Program fundamentals, Test Driven Development and Design principles

• Experience working with our stack of Javascript, React, PostgreSQL and NoSQL

• Experience designing and building software in a Service-Oriented Architecture

• Experience in working and developing RESTful APIs 

• Strong experience documenting and bringing team clarity to complex solutions

• Time-honed expertise with modern web development across the entire spectrum of development, testing, staging, deploying, and monitoring

• A curious mind that is driven to innovate and solve customer problems

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or comparable work experience is preferred 

Additional Information

Base Pay Range $98,400 - $135,300.  Eligible for Equity Compensation.  Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
