Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting a Shareholder Services Representative in the Alternatives Department. The position in the Alternatives Department is an entry level role responsible for assisting team members with the processing of investor queries and preparing periodic reporting. As the Shareholder Services team is responsible for being the eyes and ears of our clients, an eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment is a must.

Working under direct supervision, the Transfer Agency Rep-Alts is an entry level position responsible for assisting more senior members with the processing of investor transactions such as the recording of commitments, capital calls, distributions, transfers and redemptions.
The department is responsible for the overall ALTS Transfer Agency activity. A key element to overall client service is the timely and accurate completion of all deliverables (i.e. All trading activity and reporting is carried out in accordance with the Funds’ prospectus and processed in accordance with the agreed operating procedures). The representative is responsible for ensuring all deliverables which they prepare directly responsible for preparing are prepared accurately and on a timely basis. In this context, the representative will be responsible for the least complex clients or tasks performed within the team structure and will perform these tasks under the supervision of the ALTS TA supervisor and / or team leader.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Provide support to the team in establishing solid client contact through prompt follow-up.
- Interact and establish solid relationships within the transfer agency team.
- Process client / Investors queries within their agreed SLA.
- Deliver high quality work with attention to detail.
- Comply with all the policies and procedures of the firm.
- Identify problems at an early stage and escalate as necessary.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree, and/or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work accurately and quickly under pressure.
- Aptitude for numbers, accuracy and organization.
