Position Description
The Department of Clinical Science at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) invites applications for a Tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor (Academic Year) with the appointment starting in Fall 2025.

The Position
The Department of Clinical Science at California State University Dominguez Hills invites applications from individuals for a faculty for a Tenure Track position at rank of Assistant Professor in its National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) MLS/MT/Cytotechnology Programs.
Responsibilities
Administrative duties commensurate with those of an academic faculty position which include teaching, scholarly activities, and service to the university and community. The faculty responsibilities include teaching disciplinary pre-clinical and clinical courses, advising students, and assisting with on-going student learning outcomes and assessment activities. The faculty member will be expected to demonstrate a record of scholarship and service in alignment with the Department’s Reappointment, Tenure and Promotion (RTP) guidelines.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must have experience in teaching and working with colleagues from diverse age, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds;
- Doctorate in Clinical Laboratory Science (DCLS) or a Ph.D. in the related disciplines such as microbiology or immunohematology ;
- A minimum five (5) years’ teaching or practical experience in the clinical laboratory or related field such as microbiology, immunohematology, and/or research related practices;
- A record of or potential for successful scholarship;
Preferred Qualifications
- Clinical laboratory experience as a generalist or in a related fields such as Microbiology, Immunology, Blood banking, Serology, or Infectious Diseases ;
- Clinical laboratory certification (ASCP); or research related experience in clinical laboratory related fields.
- A record of university and/or professional service.
