Summary

Plans and directs application development, support and admin activities of the Operational Technology Applications (OTA) Division, for Power System engineering and field applications. 

What You'll Do

  • Meets with business stakeholders to identify priorities and establish a delivery schedule for supported applications.
  • Supervises, hires, trains, provides work direction and problem solving assistance for daily operations of staff.
  • Coordinates and manages a staff that designs, develops, tests, debugs, supports and implements OT software applications in accordance with specifications and business needs.
  • Manages resource allocations.
  • Demonstrates effective communication across levels of the organization.
  • Has a strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and ability to understand technical functions in a digital landscape.
  • Responsible for vendor relationship management and coordination/escalation of any root cause analysis for issues.
  • Facilitates employee development.
  • Manages, develops and supervises professional and technical personnel in the planning and execution of assigned projects.
  • Develops long and short range capital replacement strategies and plans.
  • Partners with other OT Services groups, Power System business units, and IT to identify, evaluate and prioritize strategic initiatives and business support requirements.
  • Manages the O&M budget associated with department responsibilities.

What It Takes To Succeed

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of IT and OT applications and processes.

Experience

A minimum of eight years of related experience is required (if no degree, 12 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling 12 years). 

Education

A bachelor’s degree related to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred.
