Maintenance Tech II

Pay Range: $28-$31.50 per hour 

Additional $1.50 shift differential from 6pm – 6am 

Shift: First Shift

Hours: 6am-6pm

This is a full-time position within our XX food manufacturing facility with opportunities for advancement! 

 

Responsibilities:  

• Conduct advanced preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on conveyor systems and food production machinery to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime. 

• Perform complex mechanical repairs including shaft keying, sprocket broaching, gear head replacement, stainless steel welding, hydraulic hose fabrication, and belt maintenance using specialized tools and equipment. 

• Assist with equipment setup, teardown, welding, fabrication, and installation of new or modified plant machinery to support production needs. 

• Diagnose mechanical issues through observation, auditory assessment, and use of precision measuring instruments, and effectively identifying and resolving root causes. 

• Utilize SAP software to document maintenance activities, track work orders, and communicate effectively with production and operations teams to optimize workflow. 

 

Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or GED required; two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred. 

• 3+ years of related experience. 

• Work different ranges of hours such as full-time, overtime, or weekend shifts.  

• Basic to advanced mechanical knowledge, electrical and building skills. 

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred.

Years of Related Experience: 3-5 years of related experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to perform all duties of Maintenance I; Knowledge of PLC software and ability toperform minor PLC program adjustments on equipment. Basic to advanced electrical skills required such as ability touse a voltage/ohm meter, amp meter, ability to understand and use electrical schematic to determine control wiring,ability to check and troubleshoot single phase and three phase wiring, ability to check heater packs on motor starters and able to check for open circuit in control wing; Arc Flash trained; Basic to advanced building skill
